Overview

The IIoTSys PE11-DC is an industrial RS485-to-Ethernet serial device server designed for connecting legacy serial equipment to IP networks. It uses a Cortex-M3 microcontroller running at 96 MHz with 2 MB Flash and 128 KB SRAM under FreeRTOS, delivering stable protocol conversion and remote access.

On the serial side, the PE11-DC provides an RS485 interface (A+/B-) that can address up to 32 devices on a single bus with cable runs up to 1200 m. Baud rates up to 460800 are supported, with configurable data bits (5–8), stop bits (1/2), and parity (None/Even/Odd). On the network side, a 100M Ethernet port carries TCP, UDP, MQTT, HTTP, WebSocket, and virtual serial port sessions. Built-in Modbus TCP ↔ Modbus RTU conversion and timed acquisition simplify SCADA and PLC integration.

Configuration options include a Web UI, CLI, XML import, companion configuration software, and UART quick setup. Security features include AES-128 and DES3 encryption, registration and heartbeat packets, and OTA firmware updates. Status LEDs (Net, Active, Power, Link) aid field diagnostics; Reload (≥4 s) restores factory defaults and Reset reboots the unit.

The enclosure measures 97.60 × 64.95 × 27.50 mm and mounts on C45 / 35 mm DIN rail. Operating temperature is −40 to +70 °C; storage is −40 to +85 °C at 5–95% RH non-condensing. Typical working current is about 100 mA with power consumption under 400 mW. This DC-powered variant accepts 9–48 VDC @ 1 A for cabinet or panel DC supplies.
